A medida que el agujero crece en tama\u00f1o, se desarrolla un punto oscuro o ciego en la visi\u00f3n central. La causa m\u00e1s com\u00fan de un agujero macular es el envejecimiento, aunque tambi\u00e9n puede ser resultado de un traumatismo.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4539f8e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4539f8e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>A medida que una persona envejece, el humor v\u00edtreo comienza a contraerse y desprenderse de la retina. En general, este proceso ocurre sin problemas. Sin embargo, en ocasiones, el humor v\u00edtreo puede adherirse a la retina y formar membranas sobre la m\u00e1cula, ejerciendo tracci\u00f3n sobre ella. Durante esta cirug\u00eda, se realizan tres peque\u00f1as incisiones que a menudo no requieren puntos de sutura. El humor v\u00edtreo se aspira y se elimina la membrana limitante interna (la capa m\u00e1s interna de la m\u00e1cula). Finalmente, se reemplaza el humor v\u00edtreo con una burbuja de gas. Esta burbuja ayuda a aplanar el agujero macular y a mantenerlo en su lugar mientras el ojo se cura.
